You only have one Mother and her special day is almost here!
Mums can only get so excited by flowers and chocolates every year. They would rather some peace and quiet, take some time out and be pampered!
Show mum how much you love her this year with a special Mother's Day voucher from Aesthetic Beauty & Massage. Or perhaps spend some quality time together, buy two and come in at the same time!
With this in mind we have designed a special Mother’s Day Gift Package.
Here’s What Mum Gets
a year, my client and good friend Natasha hosts a brilliant clothes swap party. She has been efficiently organising these for years, booking a child care
centre, sorting the clothes to be traded and lovingly baking an assortment of
delicious treats to sample whilst you peruse. The clothes are sorted and tagged
as ‘cheap & cheerful’ ‘boutique’ and ‘designer’. You get coloured tokens
for your tagged donations and these are traded on the day for clothes with that
colour tag. Due to popularity, Natasha has now utilised an online ticketing
system (all profits go to charity) and has a sidekick to assist her.

This week I wanted to share the relationship
that massage has with muscle health.
Muscle strain, muscle pull or even a muscle tear implies damage to a muscle or
its attaching tendons. You can put undue pressure on muscles during the course
of normal daily activities, with sudden heavy lifting, during sports, or while
performing work tasks.
Muscle damage can be in the form of tearing (part or all) of the muscle fibres
and the tendons attached to the muscle. The tearing of the muscle can also
damage small blood vessels, causing local bleeding (bruising) and pain (caused
by irritation of the nerve endings in the area).
Spoil a loved one with the gift of relaxation!

Happy New Year to my clients and readers! I have chosen this topic
for the blog as I have had quite a few discussions with clients lately in
regards to their exercise habits that they have increased in the New Year.
You may have heard of DOMS or ‘delayed onset muscle soreness’. It is a
particular type of muscle soreness that sets in a day after exercise. The
exercise is usually very hard or far more than the individual would normally be
muscular contractions (where the muscle
lengthens as it contracts) such as in hopping, bounding and other exercise, running downhill, squatting and the lowering phase when lifting
weights, can cause DOMS.
As the holiday season approaches, there is no better time to start thinking about gift ideas. Our divine facials and massage treatments are a great way to accommodate the Daughters, Aunts, Sisters, Mothers and Grandmothers on your Christmas list!
And just in case you have left it to theverylast minute, we do e-vouchers! Just go ahead and purchase from our online storehere.

Good nutrition is vital to maintaining your natural beauty. Here is an outline of foods that are great for your skin and rich in antioxidants, vitamins and minerals:
Capsicum, Kale, orange, kiwifruit, strawberries, lemons, broccoli and chili are rich in Vitamin C. This vitamin assists collagen production and protects cells from free radical damage.
Sunflower seeds, almonds, wheat germ and avocado are rich in Vitamin E helping to protect cell membranes and guard against UV radiation damage.
Make up application starts with the right tools. Get yourself some quality brushes and foundation to get the best start. Wedged sponges come in handy as do disposable mascara brushes and cotton tips.
Use an antibacterial spray to clean your brushes regularly. Use a spray specifically designed for makeup brushes. All you need to do is spray your brush then gently work the bristles in circular motions over a paper towel. This will keep your brush clean and germ free.
Shampoo your brush on a monthly basis.
Travelling by air can be taxing on your skin, eyes and lips.
But, with the right beauty routine, you can look as glamorous as the world's most stylish cabin crews. Here are some tips to care for your skin in transit.
Even though fresh air is constantly added to recycled air through very fine filters, to remove dust and bacteria, the air in the aircraft cabin has low humidity levels. This can cause mild drying of the skin.
One of the best suggestions is travelling make-up free, especially on long-haul flights.
